About Rilakkuma and Kaoru

Rilakkuma and Kaoru is stop-motion animation series that came out in 2019. It was created by Dwarf Studio that cooperated with San-X. The show became incredibly popular among young audience ever since it started showing on Netflix from 19th of April in 2019. It was created by Aki Kondo and written by Naoko Ogigami, while the series was directed by Masahito Kobayashi. It stars Mikako Tabe.Rilakkuma and Kaoru ending theme is called “Sampo” and it is by Quruli. Shigeru Kishida served as a composer. The country of origin of this series is Japan. So far, there are 12 episodes.



The main character is named Rilakkuma. It is a soft and brown bear that looks like a toy. He is mostly interested in sleeping and eating. Ever since he appeared in front of Kaoru’s house one day, he started living with her. Korilakkuma is also a toy-like small white bear. He is very close friends with Rilakkuma and as it was the case with him, he also appeared at Kaoru’s apartment one day where he stayed for good after. Kaoru is voiced by: Mikako Tabe in the Japanese version, and by Lana Condor in an English version. She is an office lady who provides home to Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori. Kiiroitori is Kaoru’s pet yellow chick. As opposed to Rilakkuma, Kiiroitori Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori. Moreover, we got Tokio who is voiced by Souki Matsumoto in the Japanese version and by Veronica Taylor in an English one. He is a lonely boy who lives in the complex in which Kaoru lives as well. Hayate is voiced by Takayuki Yamada and Chris Hackey for Japanese and English version respectively. Hayate is a delivery man who is a cousin of Tokio and love interest of Kaoru. Sayu is voiced by Mai Kanazawa and Melissa Fahn. She is one of Kaoru’s colleagues.


The Reception

A critic from Polygon stated that the show is very endearing. She complimented the combination of the “whimsy” with with Kaoru’s difficulties with her adult life. James Whitbrook from io9 described the show as “a love letter to the need to escape”. He noted its message that sometimes, even small acts of escape from everyday life were necessary. Anime News Network praised the animation and concept, however, they mentioned that there was little exploration and resolution towards Kaoru’s troubles.

Notes NEW

One of our new features is Notes app. It is fast, simple and very convenient for you to make quick reminders, directly on browser window. It is movable – simply click and drag on any part of screen. When you are done, you can delete them. You can hide or show Notes from Settings panel.

Settings panel and Support tab

Settings panel is now simple, easy to use and powerful with new options.
From there, you can control look of your browser tab – hide all apps or pick one you choose.
You can choose animations, slideshow, or set countdown for any topic you want.

Bellow Settings and also in bottom right part of screen there is Support links for FAQ, New updates, Feedback page or Uninstall extensions.

Removing extension

To remove extension from your browser, follow this steps:
Click on Chrome Setting menu (three dots) on right upper part of screen.
In opened menu, click on Settings
In newly opened page, click “Extensions”
Find extension you want to remove and click on Trashcan icon
Extension is removed.

You can also Right-click on Rilakkuma and Kaoru in toolbar and click on “Remove from Chrome…”

Another way is to click on Support tab in right bottom and select “Uninstall”.
