So this show is all about Diego who rescues animals around the world. Sometimes he is joined by his cousin Dora. Diego is actually first introduced in Meet Diego! episode of Dora the Explorer. He has a jaguar named Baby as his companion and Baby helps him while he is rescuing animals. This jaguar also appeared in some Dora the Explorer episodes, however in Go, Diego, Go, he has a more active role and is also able to speak. Diego also has an older sister named Alicia who is into computers and is also bilingual. Her job is directing the animal rescue calls that come into the center. Sometimes she even helps Diego during some rescues. Alicia is kind-hearted and very responsible.

Diego’s parents are animal scientists who appear in some of the episodes, however we never really found out what their names are. In one episode, one more older sister named Daisy appears. She did however appear in three Dora the Explorer episodes. Other characters are Click which is actually a camera that locates the animal calling for help, Rescue Pack which is a messenger bag Diego wears and it can transform into any object. There are also two troublesome spider monkeys called the Bobo Brothers, who can be stopped by shouting “Freeze, Bobos!” and Diego often asks for help from the viewers to help him stop them by shouting it. They can be compared to Swiper from Dora, however they don’t cause trouble for Diego on purpose and even apologize after doing so.
